A serious fall whilst undertaking some DIY in September 2006 left me with a double fracture in my left wrist and a single fracture in my right. Following a period of hospitalisation and 6 difficult weeks, I had a total of 6 pins removed from my left wrist and the plaster cast removed from my right with the disappointing news that any assistance from an NHS physio would require me waiting 4 to 5 months! - far too long to prevent my joints from becoming permanently constrained in their movement.
A visit to my local David Lloyd fitness club confirmed the availability of an Osteopath - Alex Cox. After a brief consultation, a regular weekly visit to Alex yielded a very fast improvement to my wrists allowing me to regain movement in both arms and removed the pain associated with high levels of scar tissue between the repaired joints.
The rapid and significant improvement I saw and felt, enabled me to return to a hectic career as a project manager on an international project, enabled me to drive, travel throughout Europe, undertake my job and return to a normal life by late November.
The severity of the accident originally had the hospital Consultant telling me that I would only regain around 50% of the movement in my left wrist. Today, I have 99% of my original movement and this is all down to Alex's good work - many thanks Alex.

In June 08 I suffered a severe back problem that apon investigation with an mri scan showed that I had several degenerated discs and a prolapsed disc. My doctor recommended a physiotherapist and I attended the clinic for several months.The pain was still severe after several months treatment so in desperation I turned to a personal trainer. Meanwhile a conultant had recomended me for an epidural. It is true that after the epidural I became slightly more mobile, but still in constant pain. It was now dec 08 and I had been off work 6 months. It was at this point that I consulted Alex. Straight away he could see a problem that none of the other experts had seen and I am pleased to say that I have made a dramatic recovery following treatment from Alex. It is such a relief to have the pain I have been suffering largely taken away and fast improving, that I would gladly recommend the osteopathy practised by Alex to anyone with back pain.
